<p>The Company desires to expand its operations into the West African markets with Nigeria as the commercial hub of the region and thus seeks to recruit a <strong>GENERAL MANAGER</strong> who will have overall responsibility for the Company’s operations in Nigeria.<span id="more-204"></span><br />
Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will coordinate the business development initiatives of the Company across the entire region, as well as provide strategic leadership, vision and direction to the team. He/she will be responsible for the design and implementation of effective marketing strategies; ensuring ambitious sales targets for the products are met; as well as managing and ensuring efficient distribution channels for the</p>
<p><strong>products across the region. Specifically, the candidate will:</strong></p>
<p>• Coordinating the day-to-day operational activities of the company across the West Africa region.<br />
• Drive the development of annual operating plans including business plans, operational requirements, staffing and budgets within the framework set by the group’s corporate mission, strategic plan and policies<br />
• Grow sales through the identification, selection and contracting with in-country distributors; follow up on distributors’ orders, monitor stock levels and ensure that supply chain procedures are strictly adhered to.<br />
• Carry out research, investigate, develop and implement innovative alternative channels including existing rural areas beyond traditional distribution<br />
• Take full responsibility and ownership of the company’s P&amp;L, and monitor performance metrics<br />
• Communicate and network regularly with market partners, distributors, media agencies and research agencies to ensure efficient running of daily business.<br />
• Liaise with NGOs, Government bodies and other organizations on legislative ideas. Develop and manage relationship with various stakeholders and institutions including World Bank, IFC and other players in the renewable energy sector.</p>
<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTE</strong><br />
• Higher degree(s) in Marketing, Finance, Economics or Business Administration (e.g. MBA). Relevant professional qualification in Marketing, Supply Chain or Project Management will be an added advantage<br />
• Minimum of 7 years post-qualification experience in sales force management, direct sales, marketing must have been spent in a similar role in an international or multinational organization, preferably within the West Africa region<br />
• Good leadership and people management skills to motivate and coordinate sales and social-marketing team.<br />
• Ability to produce concise and clear strategic and tactical marketing, distribution and sales plan<br />
• Proven track record in sales and marketing, specifically to rural consumers will be an added advantage<br />
• Excellent knowledge of contacts in the product distribution sector in Nigeria, and the broader West Africa region, and ability to achieve results in</p>
<p>an environment that is challenging and sometimes unpredictable<br />
• Verbal and written communication in French will be a distinct advantage<br />
• Good interpersonal &amp; communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills</p>

As a member of the General Management Team, the Finance Director will<br />

He/she will be responsible for running the finance and administration<br />
aspects of the subsidiary. He/she will be assisted in his/her duties<br />
by a team of around 10 members. The main responsibilities will be to:</p>
<p>- Supervise the branch’s financial planning and policies, accounting &amp;<br />
cost control practices, and maintenance of its financial report in<br />
accordance with Group procedures,<br />
- Prepare the monthly and annual financial statement,<br />
- Manage the treasury, taxation and budgets,<br />
- Make sure information is effectively communicated to the<br />
headquarters and alert management regarding the different priorities<br />
for internal auditing,<br />
- Manage the personnel and human resources department,<br />
- Supervise the information technology department,<br />
- Manage public relations with external bodies (banks, auditors, tax<br />
authorities, Customs, insurers),<br />
- Ensure that internal controls and systems comply with accounting<br />
standards, statutory requirement and corporate guidelines,<br />
- When necessary be in charge of General Management when the General<br />
Manager or his deputy is absent.</p>
<p><strong>WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR</strong><br />
We seek ideally a qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years in an<br />
audit or financial position in construction, oil &amp; gas services, civil<br />
works or B2B.<br />
Because of the remote location and local living conditions, you must<br />
have a stable personality along with a stable personal environment.<br />
You’ll possess fluent verbal and written English. French would be advantageous.<br />
The position is based in Port-Harcourt with 8 weeks on/3 weeks off rotation.</p>

for the position of Deputy Director,  Management based in Abuja,<br />
Nigeria.</p>

<p><strong>POSITION  RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br />
The Deputy Director, Management reports to the  Country Director and is<br />
responsible for managing large, complex  programs in Nigeria. S/he<br />
ensures:<br />
achievement of results of which  FHI is responsible under agreement<br />
with the donor;<br />
program  quality according to FHI standards;<br />
project resources are utilized in  accordance with applicable FHI and<br />
donor policies and procedures;<br />
appropriate  monitoring of subprojects to achieve financial,<br />
administrative, and  programmatic goals.<br />
The Deputy Director, Management oversees  production of timely and<br />
accurate financial and programmatic reports  to FHI, and donors as<br />
required. S/he also performs other duties  assigned by the Country Director.</p>
<p><strong>POSITION REQUIREMENTS:</strong><br />
BS/BA  in public health or related field, and 11-13 years relevant<br />
experience  in international development programs with 5-7 years<br />
supervisory  experience; or MS/MA/MPH in public health or related field, and 9 – 11  years relevant<br />
experience in international development programs, with  5-7 years<br />
supervisory experience; or PhD, MD or equivalent degree  with 7 – 9 years relevant<br />
experience in HIV/AIDS or family planning  with international<br />
development programs and 5-7 years of supervisory  experience. Overseas field experience required.</p>
